Bristol su recognised with queen's award for volunteering

39% of students gave their time to voluntary projects in 2016, which amounted to a staggering 100,000 hours.

They volunteered on projects ranging from sustainability initiatives to working with children with disabilities, young carers and isolated older people in the community.

In recognition of this Bristol SU was awarded the Queen’s Award for Volunteering. This is the highest award given to local volunteer groups across the UK to recognise valuable hard work in their communities, and we are the only Students’ Union to receive this award.
